Who Invented Mercy Anyway....

Spring Break is here and green open spaces are calling, but a thought for anybody who drops by:

The good are innocent so they ask for justice.
The bad are guilty and that's why they ask for mercy.

  • Sometimes it's the good and innocent - who have to beg for mercy,
While the bad who feel no guilt -insist on extracting "justice".

  • But the righteous ask for mercy for the wicked too. That is what defines them. (i.e. Avraham for Sodom and Amorah)

  • Hmm I don't knwo if I agree, having mercy is a good trait and perhaps It Was Invented(Created) so that we would hav an opportunity to use it.

  • Hashem in his infinite goodness made mercy part of justice. So that he does not have to leave the justice mode to show mercy. Chessed UMishapat...
